Well, well, well… LOOK WHO GOT A MAKEOVER! 🌮🍹🇲🇽 For those of you who remember Grande Mexico in Amesbury, I have some news. Apparently, someone finally walked into that building, looked around, and said, “You know what? We can do MUCH better than this.” 😂 And boy, did they ever! Welcome to OYE MIRA! Same location, completely different experience. It’s like Grande Mexico went away on vacation, got a facelift, hired a personal trainer, learned how to cook, and came back with a whole new attitude. The food? Fantastic! The atmosphere? Beautiful! The drinks? Excellent! The service? Exactly what you’d hope for! And the best part? JENNY IS BACK BEHIND THE BAR!!! 🍹 That’s right! They renovated the restaurant, changed the name, upgraded the food, and somehow managed to keep the best thing Grande Mexico ever had! Now THAT is what I call smart management! 😂 Seriously, Jenny is practically an Amesbury institution at this point. Everybody knows her, everybody loves her, and seeing her back behind that bar is probably going to make a lot of people happier than finding an unexpected $100 bill in their jeans. I’m pretty sure half the town would follow Jenny if she started serving margaritas out of a Home Depot shed. And honestly, the shed would probably have a five-star rating within a week. 😂 As for the restaurant itself, what an improvement! Beautifully done, welcoming, and with food that actually makes you want to start planning your next visit before you’ve finished eating. Congratulations to my friends on opening Oye Mira. I really hope Amesbury gets behind this place because it deserves the support. And to Grande Mexico, thank you for the memories. We had some good times. But your replacement is younger, prettier, cooks better, and somehow got Jenny in the divorce. That’s gotta hurt. 😂😂 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OYE MIRA! You’ve got yourself a winner! And Jenny, welcome back! Now get those margaritas ready. Some of us have years of catching up to do! 🍹🇲🇽

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Fantastic New Addition to Amesbury! Oye Mira certainly made an impressive first impression on opening day! From the delicious food and beautifully crafted cocktails to the exceptional service, everything was outstanding! The bar was immaculate, the ambiance elegant and sophisticated, and the entire atmosphere had a classy yet welcoming feel. What truly stood out was the level of service and attention to detail. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It’s refreshing to see a new establishment deliver such a polished experience from day one! Congratulations to the entire Oye Mira team on a fabulous opening! A beautiful addition to downtown Amesbury. Wishing you continued success, we will absolutely be back!!!! Love it!!!👏🎉🪇

We had such a wonderful experience celebrating my birthday here! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as amazing. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made the evening even more enjoyable. It’s not always easy to find a place where both the food and service are equally outstanding, but this restaurant truly delivered. We had a fantastic time, couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration, and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Incredible Mexican food. We had the chips and salsa, and appetizer sampler platter (burria quesadilla, chicken taquitos, garlic parm wings, chips and cheese) to start. We got 1 margarita. We got the chicken fajita, chicken quesadilla, fiesta bowl, and carnitas burrito for our meals. We also got the churros for dessert. We drove 45 minutes to eat here from a recommendation from friends. Unbelievably good. We will be back. Every meal was phenomenal. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Taco Tuesday was fantastic! Great atmosphere, great food, and even better service! But the real star of the night was Antony! His contagious smile, positive energy, and genuine friendliness made the entire evening even more enjoyable. He was everywhere, making sure everyone was having a great time, and always with a smile on his face! That kind of hospitality makes all the difference. Thank you, Antony, for making our night so special! We’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We’ve been on the hunt for an amazing Mexican restaurant from A-Z and this place definitely won our hearts! From the chips & salsa we knew they knew what they were doing! Super family-friendly and warm environment. Highly recommend the Barria tacos!!! All the food we ordered was amazing and the rice was cooked to perfection & fluffy. They even have table side fresh guacamole that was amazing… the best Mexican food, drinks & vibe... HIGHLY Recommended!

Tried it opening week..LOVED it..food was fresh & delicious..we don't eat meat & the black beans rice & burrito & enchelada we chose were outstanding..fantastic margarita for me & good NA options for my wife ..staff were fantastic even on a very busy night..place has a nice vibe..we waited about 30 min for our table which we typically would not do & it was well worth it...happy it's not a chain but family owned..we will definitely go back..

Amazing restaurant. I went on a very crowded night, yet nothing at my table was overlooked. My server was on top of everything from appetizers, to drinks to our food. The drinks were absolutely delicious and so many options. The nachos have easily become my favorite in the whole Boston area!! It truly feels like love and family comes from behind every plate. I will be back soon!

Stopped in for a few tacos and a margarita and everything exceeded my expectations! Great service, the steak tacos were amazing, and the house margarita was the best Ive ever had. If you are looking for great mexican food in Amesbury, look no further than Oye Mira! Highly recommended and I will definitely be back.
